Mold Maker I

Full-Time Schedule TBD
(Starting Wage: $23 - $29 per hour - DOE)

SUMMARY: 

This is an introductory to intermediate mold making position.  Learn how to design, make, and repair production molds in various materials.  Develop a broad range of hands-on skills from sculpting, welding, woodwork, and metal fabrication to build molds and fixtures.   Develop problem solving skill needed to effectively design or repair molds that are efficient and user friendly.  Employ your artistic strengths to create detailed, realistic parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage mold building process from start to finish to meet product specifications and completion dates
• Create patterns through a variety of materials such as wax, polyester, 3DP/SLAs, clay, etc.
• Determine mold layout and parting lines in clay
• Fabricate molds from various materials: urethanes, silicones, epoxy, polyester
• Texture, polish or modify patterns

Mold Maker II/III

Full Time Day Shift - Hours TBD

SUMMARY: 

We are considering an intermediate or advanced level mold making position. Design and fabricate molds employing a broad range of skills from sculpting, welding, woodwork, and metal fabrication. Create new patterns from scratch, or from 3D printed parts and refining, polishing, texturing, or modifying to desired effect. Use creativity and problem-solving skills to provide safe, efficient molds and quality parts. Repair all types of damaged or poorly functioning molds. Create jigs and fixtures out of various materials to improve production processes.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: 

Creative, curious, artist/artisan/maker of some kind. A divergent thinker that gravitates to possibilities and finding the most effective solution. High aptitude for problem-solving, flexible in a variety of working conditions: tedious or repetitive detail work, dirty/messy/loud environments, under pressure with tight deadlines, to quiet solitary clay work. Proficient using power tools and power equipment, has a history of seeking out and picking up new skills and craft, and is excited by a job that will ask them to do so. Prefer some experience in metalwork, woodwork, sculpture, machine shop. Thrives responding to open-ended problems and solutions, as opposed to rote tasks, schedules or procedures.

Shipping Resolutions Coordinator

SUMMARY: 

A Shipping Resolutions Coordinator plays a crucial role in logistics and supply chain management. This is a logistics professional who prepares, tracks, and communicates with customers and carriers about shipments.  They are also responsible for negotiating fees, preparing quotes, issuing instructions and ensuring compliance with documentation and regulations. The Shipping Resolutions Coordinator works with shipping department managers, shipping clerks, and Customer Service representatives to help resolve issues with shipping couriers and works closely with other departments in real-time to provide updates and ensure seamless operations. They will work with customers both domestically and internationally to facilitate smooth shipping processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with vendors, customers, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Communicate with clients, shippers, and courier companies to resolve any issues, including RMAs.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers: Negotiate contracts and rates to obtain the best value and service.
• Track shipments and delivery dates, providing timely updates to customers and internal teams to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Schedule and coordinate the pick-up and delivery of shipments, balancing logistics to meet customer needs and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of shipments, including dates, costs, and tracking numbers; prepare comprehensive reports for senior management to inform decision-making.
• Collaborate in real-time with other departments, including inventory management, sales, and customer service, to provide updates and ensure seamless coordination across the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience in a shipping/logistics role; experience with international shipping and understanding of global trade regulations is a plus.

• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Production Apprentice

Machine Maintenance Mechanic III

Shift: 4 tens, 40 hours, schedule TBD

SUMMARY: 

Advanced level maintenance mechanic. Specific skills include mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding, and electrical. Duties include installation, maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment. May fabricate machine parts, install/repair conveyers, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment or repair electro-mechanical equipment. Perform advanced-level troubleshooting, work in collaboration with the team, and may provide training to less experienced maintenance staff. This is a role that provides a great diversity of experience, creative thinking, and exposure to skills/machinery on many levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments, Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance and service. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1 - 2 years of technical training and 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent. Able to do electrical work, program computers in manufacturing, and follow safety regulations. Shipper/Receiver

Tuesday-Friday 6:30a.m. - 4:30p.m.

SUMMARY: 

Responsible for making sure all products are correctly shipped.  Performs final Q.C. check on items packed.  Responsible for some video jetting.

Perform final QC on parts; Pack parts to prevent breakage; Check orders on the board and pick those due.  Help maintain accurate inventory. Staff Accountant (Hybrid)

Design Engineer I-III

(Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 - DOE) 

SUMMARY:

Performs design engineering assignments applying standard engineering practices and principles. Work ranges from entry-level to complex.  Uses various tools such as SolidWorks, hand sketches, digital sculpting, 3D printing, laser scanning, materials research, and physical prototyping to create new product designs.  The design process is highly interactive between the engineering team, the tool-making department, various production centers in the plant, the sales team, and the customer.  Design projects are generally mechanical in nature with the occasional integration of basic electronics or software.  The Design Engineer will typically manage a project from start to finish - from initial concepts through the first production order.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Product Design - Use CAD, materials selection, and general prototyping processes to generate new product designs.  Work directly with customers to define and achieve design goals. Clearly organize and document customer communication and design progression.

• Design for Manufacturing – Identify appropriate materials and processes to produce new products.  This is achieved through knowledge and proficiency in all manufacturing centers in the plant plus the ability to find and leverage outside technologies. Guide the design of new molds and fixtures.  Train the manufacturing team on new parts.

• Quoting  - Accurately estimate labor standards, material costs, development costs, and timelines.

• Prototyping – Hands-on fabrication of prototypes and first articles using the machine shop, molding equipment, hand tools, power tools, hand work, and assembly.

• Manufacturing Handoff - Coordinate the introduction of new products into the manufacturing plant. Consistently create thorough SOP’s and Quality Standards.  Proficient use of the MRP system to enter BOM’s, launch Jobs, track schedules, etc.

• Project Management

  • Simple Projects:  Obvious solution/outcome, the goal is an efficient transition through design, prototyping, tooling and manufacturing handoff.  Often involves multiple projects at once.

  • Complex Projects:  Non-obvious solution, creativity required, longer timeline, multiple project levels, manage budget, schedule, and manufacturing handoff.

Quality Engineer

SUMMARY:

The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. They collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to create and maintain Quality standards and processes. They will also provide quality assurance support at all levels, ensuring that products meet customer specifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Facilitates the creation and upkeep of departmental standards and processes.

• Responsible for maintaining Standard Operating Procedure format and standards.

• Responsible for the following:

• Customer Quality-related requests on systems/processes

• Customer Compliance-related requests

• Customer Quality concerns and RMA’s

• Supports Production team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process. Includes support of:

  • SOP QC interpretation

  • QC testing tools and processes

  • QC training

• Work with department supervisors to ensure quality protocols are being followed and employees are properly trained in relevant quality standards.

• Work with Engineering to ensure product quality is defined.

• Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.

• Ensures incoming product and materials meet defined quality standards.

• Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects. Responsible for running recurring Quality reports (Ex. Scrap rate by %/$.)

• Executes ISO 9001 Compliance or Certification. Supports a contracted provider if necessary.

Customer Service Representative I

SUMMARY:

Entry level of customer service work but all levels of experience will be considered. Learn, maintain, and model an exceptional customer experience. Receive inquiries from customers and follow established procedures to provide answers or refer calls to appropriate staff. Typical questions are focused on order status, product information, account status, pricing, product, or service. Follows established procedures and has readily available supervision.  This position is a steppingstone for potential for growth within the department and within our organization. A positive fun attitude with a strong focus on team building is essential for this role. May grow into a full-time role.
