Description
Osteoporotic large left hemi pelvis designed for biomechanical testing with a thin-walled absolute™ osteo cortex and a 10 PCF solid foam cancellous core. The acetabulum measures 55 mm. It matches #3405-2 sacrum and #3409 right hemi pelvis. Made with short fiber filled epoxy and rigid polyurethane foam, our absolute™ bones offer a consistent, inexpensive alternative to cadaver bone, closely mimicking human bone properties to reliably simulate load and motion scenarios for medical device development and approval.
This model includes a complimentary digital CAD download to support your planning and design needs. You can find the file link in the Documents section below. 3D CAD models can be especially helpful when sizing implants or other hardware for workshops or biomechanical study, and they include only external anatomy. Sawbones digital files are available in STL and STEP formats and are created using high-accuracy 3D scans of our physical molded bones. Please note that due to subtle manufacturing tolerances, the 3D data may not perfectly match every molded bone—dimensional variations of up to two percent are possible.
