Description

The E3 Biomechanics 10 PCF Compression Bone Core 6-Pack (1522-3244-1) is a set of six machined Sawbones® simulation bone specimens used for compression testing in the University of Delaware E3 Biomechanics curriculum.

Each core pairs a 10 PCF cellular foam center with denser 40 PCF end layers, giving students a consistent specimen for measuring compressive stiffness and strength on the Vernier® Go Direct® Materials Test Frame (GDX-MTF).

Density Series: Available in 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 PCF so students can compare how foam density changes mechanical behavior. All four densities are included in the E3 Biomechanics Bone Core and Tendon Test Kit (1741-200).

Key Features:

  • Machined 20 mm OD x 40 mm length cylinder
  • 34 mm 10 PCF cellular foam core
  • Two 3 mm 40 PCF foam end layers
  • Machined to one specification for repeatable results across lab sections
  • Compatible with the Vernier® Go Direct® Materials Test Frame (GDX-MTF)
  • Package of 6

Labs Supported:

  • Compression testing of simulation bone
  • Material parameters and density comparison
  • Experimental design and statistics

Free Curriculum: The E3 Biomechanics lab modules are available at no cost from the University of Delaware.
