Clear Heart Visualization Module

The Clear Heart Visualization Module (501-301) is a rigid, transparent plastic heart used for visual confirmation of catheter and guidewire placement during single- or dual-site ECMO cannulation and ECPR training. Part of the RediStik^® line of cannulation models, its all-four-chamber design lets instructors and users watch a guidewire and catheter travel through the right heart in real time, making it a valuable teaching tool for demonstrating correct technique and troubleshooting common cannulation errors, such as spotting immediately if a wire has been advanced into the ventricle instead of tracking down into the vena cava.

 

This module can be expanded into a full ECMO simulation trainer: a quick-turn connector lets it lock directly onto the Ultrasound Internal Jugular and Carotid Cannulation Module (500-301-30/32) and/or the 500-702 series femoral access model (COMING SOON); setting up for single- or dual-site ECMO configurations (VV, VA, and other combinations). Manifolds on the proximal and distal ends give the system two priming ports, allowing it to be primed with a 1,000 mL bag of blood solution and a height adjustable IV tower. A dedicated vent port keeps the chambers clear of trapped air, so the chambers stay visible for inspection at all times. Because this module is fully transparent, needle, wire, and cannula placement can be confirmed by eye alone, without ultrasound, making it well suited for teams that want a purely visual training and demonstration setup.
