Description
The Ultrasound Right Heart Chamber and Valve Visualization Module, Medium Tone (500-201-32) is an ECMO and central line training chest module built for ultrasound-only practice of guidewire navigation, Doppler flow assessment, and true-to-life ECPR (ECMO cardiopulmonary resuscitation) compressions. It shares the same right heart anatomy as the Clear Tone version (500-201-30), including the right atrium and right ventricle with a functional tricuspid valve, in an opaque, flesh-toned build. Part of the RediStik® line of cannulation models, it's made with our Resonance™ ultrasound tissue, which is ultrasoundable, self-healing, and temperature stable, giving users a realistic, ultrasound-only training experience without visual cues, including the ability to watch the tricuspid leaflets move under live imaging as fluid moves through the circuit.
This module expands into a full ECMO circuit: a quick-turn locking base joins it directly to the Ultrasound Internal Jugular and Carotid Cannulation Module (500-301-30/32) for single- or dual-site ECMO configurations (VV, VA, and other combinations), and it is also compatible with the 500-702 series femoral access model (COMING SOON). A proximal manifold and distal Y-shaped manifold give the circuit two priming ports, so the whole system can be filled with a 1,000 mL bag of blood solution using a height-adjustable IV tower to control flow and back pressure. Because this module is opaque, users can scan directly over the right ventricle with the probe to confirm trapped air has cleared before using.
Once primed, users can navigate a guidewire out of the right atrium and into the inferior vena cava, taking care to avoid inadvertent entry into the right ventricle and to keep the wire from diverting into the simulated hepatic veins. The chest module also supports true-to-life compressions for ECPR practice during simultaneous neck or groin cannulation, and users can confirm correct wire and catheter tip depth and visualize flow moving between chambers under Doppler.
Procedures This Module Supports:
- Central venous access and ECMO cannulation of the right atrium and inferior vena cava under ultrasound guidance
- Single- or dual-site ECMO configurations (VV, VA, and other combinations) when paired with a compatible neck and/or femoral access module
- True-to-life chest compressions for ECPR (ECMO CPR) during simultaneous neck or groin cannulation
- Doppler flow and tricuspid valve assessment via ultrasound alone
Key Features:
- Opaque, flesh-toned design that hides anatomy for ultrasound-only training
- Same right atrium, right ventricle, and tricuspid valve anatomy as the Clear Tone version (500-201-30), with leaflet motion visible under imaging
- Compatible with ultrasound imaging and color Doppler flow visualization
- Connects to the Ultrasound Internal Jugular and Carotid Cannulation Module (500-301-30/32) via a quick-turn locking base for single- or dual-site ECMO circuits
- Also compatible with the 500-702 series femoral access model (COMING SOON)
- Proximal and distal Y-shaped manifolds allow priming with a 1,000 mL blood solution bag and height-adjustable IV tower
- Scan directly over the ventricle with the probe to confirm trapped air has cleared before scanning
- Supports guidewire navigation from the RA into the IVC while avoiding the right ventricle and hepatic veins
- Built for true-to-life ECPR compression training
- Made with self-healing, temperature-stable Resonance™ tissue rated for use with 22 gauge or smaller needles

Care, Handling, Usage, and Storage Guidelines for Resonance™ Material
Resonance™ material is designed for durability and repeated training use when handled, used, stored, and maintained according to recommended guidelines. To help preserve product performance and maintain warranty coverage, follow the care, handling, usage, and storage instructions below.
Care and Handling
Handle Resonance™ material with care during setup, training, cleaning, and storage. Avoid placing unnecessary stress, weight, or pressure on the material, as this may deform or damage the product. Do not leave the material in contact with paper or other surfaces that may transfer ink, dye, or residue.
After use, clean the material according to the product’s recommended care instructions. Resonance™ material must be stored clean and dry when not in use.
Usage Guidelines
Use Resonance™ material only as intended and according to the instructions provided for the specific product. When needle access is required, use only the recommended needle sizes listed in each product’s description. Use of non-approved needle sizes may damage the material and reduce product performance.
Where lubrication is recommended, apply the appropriate lubrication before use. Using the material without recommended lubrication may result in unnecessary wear or damage.
Do not leave needles, devices, or other instruments in place for extended periods unless specifically instructed, as prolonged contact may affect material performance or cause damage.
Storage Guidelines
Store Resonance™ material clean and dry when not in use. Do not store the material while wet, soiled, compressed, or under any weight. Proper storage helps maintain the shape, function, and longevity of the product.
Avoid storage conditions that may expose the material to unnecessary pressure, contamination, moisture, direct sunlight, or contact with materials that could stain or damage the surface.
Warranty Coverage
Damage resulting from use, storage, or care outside of these recommendations is not covered under warranty. This includes, but is not limited to, use with non-approved needle sizes, leaving the material in contact with paper, storing the material under any weight, storing the material while wet or soiled, leaving devices in place for extended periods, or using the material without recommended lubrication where applicable.
Failure to follow care, handling, storage, and usage instructions may reduce product performance and void warranty coverage.
