The Ultrasound Neonatal Carotid Vessel Replacement (599-50-2) restores the carotid artery, the smaller of the two vessels, in the Ultrasound Neonatal Internal Jugular and Carotid Cannulation Kit or Replacement, supporting continued neonatal hemodialysis (HD) catheter and ECMO arterial catheter placement via the Seldinger technique. Made at neonatal scale, this single-vessel replacement installs by sliding the vessel over a barbed connector on the heart, then using the provided forceps and lubricant to pull it through the tissue. It is the fastest way to extend the life of the parent assembly once the carotid artery has reached the end of its cannulation life, without replacing the jugular vein or the full assembly.
